ASSA has been collaborating with the SSEPD project of Physiotherapy for children with intellectual disabilities. Our organization offers essential rehabilitation and therapeutic services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, facilitating their integration into community life. Through voluntary efforts, we provide comprehensive services for the rehabilitation of individuals with intellectual disabilities, including early intervention, daily living skill development, therapeutic interventions, education, skill-building, and raising awareness.

We also have been actively involved in the Integrated Program for Elderly Persons (IPOP) since [year]. This program aims to enhance the quality of life for elderly individuals by providing specialized therapeutic services tailored to their specific needs.

The objective of the Project:

  • The field of rehabilitative & therapeutic services to children/persons with intellectual Disabilities such as Intellectual disability, Cerebral Palsy / Spasticity, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Illness, ADHD, Specific Learning disabilities, and multiple disabilities. Children With emotional trauma or disorders that are detrimental to the child’s growth like Delinquency, truancy, anti-social behavior, conduct disorders, etc.
  • To expand the range of opportunities available for persons with Intellectual Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual disability, and Mental Illness, and to ensure equal opportunities, equity, social justice & empowerment of Persons with intellectual disabilities.
  • To create an enabling environment with a focus on encouraging voluntary action For ensuring the expansion of outreach activities for persons with intellectual disabilities By providing high-tech rehabilitation and care services. 
  • To promote the integration of people with intellectual disabilities in the larger Community and to create mass awareness of the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities.

Outcome or Impact of the Project:

  • Provided community service and clinical therapeutic services to over 1000 individuals in need.
  • Conducted various camps leading to the assessment and diagnosis of more than 3000 people, raising awareness about muscle health and joint health.
  • Successfully implemented personalized Home Exercise Programs (HEP) for numerous patients, resulting in improved outcomes and positive experiences.
  • Educated parents about the importance of early intervention, leading to significant impact and positive changes in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
